Welcome to the Powell River Chapter! If you are an owner of or just have an interest in antique cars (anything 25 years old or more) then check us out! Our short monthly meetings provide an opportunity to update our approximately 45 members on club activity, welcome guests, announce upcoming events and talk about the latest restoration. Ice cream at a local shop is a great reward after summer meetings! We do many activities through-out the year including scenic drives & picnics, meals out at local restaurants, potluck dinners and BBQ's as well as hosting visiting chapters from around the province. Rallies & tours take place at different times of the year around BC providing members the opportunity to get out on the road to the Island and beyond. Some examples are the Autumn Island Tour, Annual May Tour and Canada 150 Tour all provide a great opportunity to meet members from other communities, view lots of vintage cars restored to their original condition and even take part in competitions Besides our many activities our "brown bag" auction raises funds for local charities such as Therapeutic Riding, Powell River Search & Rescue, Stroke Recovery, Parkinson's Society, Salvation Army Food Bank & Transition House Shelter. We never turn down an opportunity to show off our work! You likely have seen some of our members and their cars at local Senior's retirement homes, local parades & events such as Logger's Sports, Blackberry Festival, the A&W's MS Car Show and Crusin' the Dub at the local A&W on summer Thursday nights. Membership dues are $55; $45 supports the VCCC National & $10 remains with the chapter. In addition to help, support and advice fellow members can give you on restoring cars; you'll be joining a national network of people who share the same passion for automobiles. .
